The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward – Psalm 19:9-11
Most times when we hear of judgments we imagine negative outcomes but we are told that God’s judgments are different. They are not to be feared or dreaded. They are to be desired because they are for our good. They are designed to punish evildoing, chasten and warn others.
In God’s judgments, we see His love and mercy toward us. When we keep God’s Word, judgments, we are blameless and we have peace with God and with others–this is the reward.
