Doubts

“When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer” –
Psalm 94:19.

This is so true.  Whenever I have doubts about my ability to perform a task, God always reassures me through His word or someone that I can do it.  Just recently, I was having second thoughts about a position at the church that I accepted.  And out of the blue, I got an email from someone I admire and respect, congratulating me and telling me how happy she was that I was going to be in this position.  The title of the email was , So happy.  I was pleasantly surprised when I got it.  But, I know that it was God addressing my concerns–my doubts.

Through this woman, He gave me me these comforting words, “God is preparing you for this office”.  After I got the email, I knew that without a doubt that this is where the Lord wants me to be.  I had prayed about it a while ago and He answered.  As soon as the doubts filled my mind, He gave me hope and cheer through someone else.  What an awesome God He is.  He has already
helped me to start working in this new position and I know that He will help me every step along the way.  I know that I can lean on Him and that He will enable me to perform each task to the best of my ability.

The next time you have doubts, the Lord will either bring a verse or two from the scriptures to reassure you or He will have someone email or call you.
