A Trailblazer

Dubbed Alice of Yonder Land, Alice Ramsey, became the first woman to drive an automobile across the United States, asserting women’s rights to travel freely across the nation.  The 22 year old wife and mother was later inducted into the Automobile Hall of Fame.

  1. How interesting, Adele. Heard on the news that our new secretary of transportation has proposed that all Americans be taxed for every mile they travel. Glad Alice crossed the US way before that goes into effect. ;>)
