After the Philistines threatened to burn her and her father’s house with fire, Samson’s wife explained Samson’s riddle to them. His anger aroused, Samson left her.
Then, he visited her with a young goat but her father had given her to his companion. Samson told them, “This time I shall be blameless regarding the Philistines if I harm them!”
He burned the Philistines’ grain. In revenge, they burned his wife and father-in-law.
