Passing Time

PHOTO PROMPT © Rochelle Wisoff-Fields

It’s getting dark outside. We’ve no electricity. Strong winds have knocked out the power in our neighborhood.

Lighting the lamps, my wife, Heather, wonders, “How long will the power be out?

“Could be hours.”

To pass the time, I superimpose old Mrs. Harper’s face on Heather’s pear-shaped body. I chuckle.

“What’s so funny?” Heather asks.

“Nothing.”

    1. Dear Rochelle,

That’s interesting about the power outage. You’re right, it’s best for him if Heather remains in the dark about what he’s thinking 🙂 Thanks.

      Shalom,
      Adele
