“Are you thinking of buying the plant, Ms. Sambu?”
Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Mr. Kyriaku standing there. “No.”
“Very unusual looking, isn’t it?”
“Yes.”
“Is something the matter?”
“No.”
“Are you still embarrassed about seeing me naked?”
She lowered her eyes and nodded. “Yes.”
“I didn’t expect to see you by the pool. I thought you’d be waiting in the music room. I stayed in the water for as long as possible to give you a chance to leave so that I could come out.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Let’s forget about it and go for lunch.”

Dear Adele,
I get the feeling something’s going on between these two other than a plant. Unique take on the prompt.

Dear Rochelle,
You’re spot on about there being something between them. I thought the prompt was perfect for my second installment of an ongoing series.

Adele

I don’t know how he expects her to forget about seeing him naked even if he didn’t intend for that to happen.

Naked in the pool and now “let’s forget about it…” I don’t think so. There is more to the story. Well done.

Yeah, she’s not forgetting that in a hurry. But maybe he doesn’t want her to!!

No, it isn’t something she can forget. And, as you said, maybe, he doesn’t want her to.

The dialog shifted quickly to … ‘let’s forget about it’ is not going to happen.
But, lunch??? Interesting take on the prompt … Have a good weekend

I guess he wanted her to stop thinking about it because it made her feel embarrassed and he probably thought that lunch would help to put her at ease. He didn’t intend for her to see him naked. She was supposed to be waiting for him in the music room for her piano lesson but she went to the swimming pool instead. He stayed in the water for as long he could, thinking she would leave, but, she didn’t.
So, he had to get out and well…she got an eyeful. Thanks, Isadora 🙂 You have yourself a good weekend too.

LOL I got a chuckle out or your “She got an eyeful” words. I’m sure she did. I suppose it was embarrassing for him as well. I enjoyed it even more, reading it a 2nd time. Thanks … 😎
