The glass of shells reminded him of the beach in Kigali and Kalisa. He met her when he went on a volunteer teaching mission. She was one of the community’s poor and disadvantaged youths.
She began staying after class to ask questions and then, they were seeing each other outside of school hours. A romance soon blossomed and lasted for the eight weeks he was there. Then, it was time to leave and return to Jacksonville to prepare for his fifth year of teaching at the university.
Kalisa’s plane landed at Jacksonville International Airport. Her hosts, a Rwandan couple, greeted her.

You have left me up in the air with this one. Was he a teacher from Rawanda or US? Who were the couple she met at the airport? Clearly Kalisa was ready tomato a move to the US, but was he reciprocating? a mystery to me.

He is a professor who went to Rwanda as a volunteer on a teaching mission. He’s from Jacksonville and after spending 8 weeks in Kigali, Rwanda, he returned to Jacksonville to teach. The couple are the hosts whom she will be staying with in Jacksonville because she’s an international student. He doesn’t know that she’s in Jacksonville as yet.
Sorry, James but I thought I made it clear that he was from the US.

Dear Adele,
I assume they will hook back up in Jacksonville. Interesting you chose the photo over the prompt. 😉 Nicely done story.

Dear Rochelle,
You’re right. They will hook up in Jacksonville. Oops. I was looking at the photo instead of the painting when I was constructing the story. Sorry. I’m happy you liked the story.

I think that he will have a problem now, and a decision to make.

No doubt, he’ll be very surprised to see her. We’ll see where they go from there.

It looks like it was a short but sweet romance.
Let’s hope she can be more disciplined with this
new family she will be living with. Mmmm … but it could
be interesting if she goes over-the-line. More please …
Have a good weekend … Isadora 😎

It was a short but sweet romance. She will be a good and well behaved guest in the home of her host family. However, when she sees the professor again…who knows what will happen. There will be sequels 🙂 Thanks, Isadora. You have yourself a good weekend too.

Let’s hope their paths cross again (as long as she is old enough!) 🙂

What he did was unethical at minimum and probably illegal. I wouldn’t want this guy anywhere near young students. I hope she stays away from him.

In all of his years of teaching, he never had relations with any of his students. When he went to Rwanda, he hadn’t planned becoming romantically involved with this 18+ year old girl but, it happened. He didn’t coerce her into anything. It was consensual. The Age of Consent in Rwanda is 18 years old, so she is considered legally old enough to consent to participation in sexual activity. Rather than staying away from him, she went to Jacksonville.

Reading through other comments has cleared up the mystery for me. Lots of lines in play, could become a very twisted situation!

Yes, the situation could get complicated but hopefully, things will turn out well in the end.
