Call on the Lord’s Name

And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved – Acts 2:21, MEV

The apostle Paul further explains why by calling on the name of Jesus, a person will be saved. In his letter to the Romans, he wrote, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9, 10, NKJV). We confess with our mouths what we believe in our hearts. Through faith, we confess that Jesus is Lord and that He was raised by the Father from the dead. Salvation comes by grace, through faith. This is the precious gift which God has given to us through His Son, Jesus.

Today, call on the name of the Lord because, “There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12, ISV).
