Down, But Not Out

When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you – Isaiah 43:1, 2, The Living Bible)

A mighty fortress is our God” (Martin Luther). When the storms of life batter us like the tempestuous waves of the sea crashing against the rocks, we have our God who keeps us from going under by upholding us with His outstretched hand.

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand’ (Isaiah 41:10)
