Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? -Psalm 54:3, 4, NKJV
With God on our side, what have we to fear? Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. God is bigger than any fear we might have. He is our Rock, our Mighty Fortress and our Refuge in times of trouble. We can trust in Him and when we do that, fear takes a back seat. Faith trumps doubt and trust trumps fear.
When fear tries to overtake you, fight it with trust. Read the psalms which address fear and pray. Don’t give place to the devil who will attack you. Instead, put on the armor of God so that you can withstand him. Remember, he is a defeated foe and we have victory over him through Christ Jesus. We must be “strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might” (Ephesians 6:10, ESV).
When overcome with fear, run to God who will fill you with His peace which is beyond our understanding. “It will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7, TLB). Years ago I experienced a crippling fear which had to flee in the presence of the Lord’s peace. Don’t be overcome with fear. Let God cast it out.
“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears (Psalm 34:4, NKJV).
Very encouraging. Thanks for a good post to start the weekend off right ☀️
