In the early morning glow, her face looked pale as she returned her son’s gaze. “Do you really have to go, Hank?” she asked. He’d just told her that he was moving to Cotonou.

“Yes, Mother. The church there needs a pastor and I was chosen.”
“But Benin’s so far away. You’ll be leaving everyone and everything you know to go to a strange country.”
“I’ll be like Abraham who left his country and to go to a strange land.”
“God told Abraham to go.”
“Don’t you think He’s telling me to go too?”

Dear Adele,
It’s hard for a mother to let go. Nonetheless, the son makes a good point. He needs to answer the call on his life. Nicely done.

Rochelle

Dear Rochelle,
Yes, it’s always hard for a mother to let go. The son has to follow the call on his life. His mother will no doubt end up giving him her support. Thanks 🙂
Shalom,
Adele
