A Beautiful Mess

He had gotten himself in a beautiful mess.  Engaged to one woman and in love with another.

It had been weeks since Leticia came to his office to confront him after someone had told her about the engagement.  She had asked him why he was marrying Camilla if he didn’t love her.

Rather than tell her the truth, his response had been, “I have my reasons.”

That was the abbreviated disclosure.  He couldn’t tell her that it it had to do with business.   Camilla’s father owned a company he wanted and marrying her was the only way he could get it.
