A Smart Move?

“What happened?” he asked, indicating the two fallen trees.

“Heavy winds.”

“Do you get a lot of those here?”

“Not usually.”

“Good.”

“It’s great to see you, Ennes, but what are you doing here?”

“I just moved in.”

“Why?” she asked, then her expression changed.  “Don’t tell me it’s because of her.”

“As a matter of fact, it is.”

“Why would you uproot your life for her?”

“Simple.  I’m in love with her.”

“But, you hardly know her.  You met her only last year when you visited me.”

“That’s all it took. So, here I am.”

“You fool, she’s engaged!”

  1. It’s sad that he uprooted his life without her consent, without checking if she was even interested. We all have those times in our lives that we wonder, “Why did I do that?” But, maybe he’ll grow and learn through it, and find someone else. I enjoyed the dialogue!!

    1. Yes, it is and his friend thought he was foolish for doing that. Maybe something transpired between them and that’s why he uprooted his life but she’s engaged now. Yes, we all have those moments but we learn from them. Hopefully, things might still work out for him or he’ll find someone else who’s single. I’m happy you enjoyed the dialogue, Brenda 🙂
