As he waited for his orders of veggie Hot Dogs, he thought how smart he had been to come before noon to avoid the crowd. The parking lot was virtually empty.
Grabbing the bags, he turned to leave and spotted Aimee heading towards him. Drat. Of all the people…
“Hello, Siran.”
“Hello, Aimee.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Grabbing lunch.”
She looked at the bags. “Lunch for two?”
“Yes.”
“So, who is she?”
“Sorry, Aimee, gotta run.” And he rushed off.
She didn’t need to know that he was having lunch with his brother’s ex-girlfriend.

Yes because if Aimee were to find out whom he is having lunch with, it won’t be a secret for much longer.

He’ll find out eventually. Strange how no matter how we try our private lives attracts comment.

Yes, he will. And you’re right. People are always getting so personal with us when all we want is some privacy.

These two have a history, it seems. Wise to leave instead of getting into an argument.

They do. And you’re right about him leaving when he did.

Dear Adele,
Good for Siran if he doesn’t want it to become public knowledge, which I’d say it will be soon enough…that is if the relationship is serious. Nicely done.

Dear Rochelle,
Yes, you’re right about Siran. He doesn’t want their relationship to be public knowledge until he has spoken to his brother about it. Thanks 🙂
Shalom,
Adele

You’re right about that, Liz. Let’s hope he gets to tell his brother about it before it gets out.

Just so he gets to tell his brother first! I like where the prompt took you. It’s a very human story.

His speedy exit did look a little suspicious!

He had good reason for his speedy exit 🙂

Oh my, he could have reacted in a less suspicious way! I guess the guilty will always give “tells.”

I guess he just wanted to get out of there.

Oh, the plot thickens (as they say). He should probably scoot before too many questions are asked. It could get messy. Well done, Adele! =)

I agree 🙂 Make a quick exit. Thanks, Brenda 🙂

Nope. Some things are best remaining unknown. Then again, if you are doing something you don’t want others to know about, you are probably doing things you should not … 😉

Actually, he’s seeing his brother’s ex-girlfriend and wants to keep it a secret until he tells his brother 🙂

I have found tht it’s usually best to avoid people who ask question you don’t want to answer. Word spreads like wildfire!
