There was a man who had two sons. One day, the younger son came to him and said, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ His father divided his property between the two sons.
Days later, the younger son gathered all he had and left home. He went to a far country where he squandered his money. Penniless, he returned home. Upon seeing his wayward son, the father rejoiced and welcomed him.

This is one my favorite Bible stories because it is about a father’s unconditional love for his son. He was just so thankful that his son was alive and had returned home. In the longer version, he threw a feast to celebrate the homecoming.
