A Tree Tale

Sharon was walking through the woods with her little brother, Bobby when she stopped and pointed at a tree.  “That’s where Cantaloupe Louie lived.”

“That’s a scary looking tree.  Who’s Cantaloupe Louie?”

“He was a funny looking man with bright red hair and freckles.  He had crooked teeth and walked with a limp.  No one knew where he came from.  One day he just showed up in these woods.”

“What happened to him?”

“No one knows.  He simply vanished.”

“Why did they call him Cantaloupe Louie?”

“Because he ate only Cantaloupes.”

“You’re making this up.”

“I had you going, though.”

    • Fortunately for them, Cantaloupe Louie was just a figment of Sharon’s imagination. Can you imagine if such a person existed and he was watching them as you so aptly and horrifyingly described? Am glad I had you going too, James 🙂
