Was life really worth it? He’d had lost so much in the past year. Within months of each other, he’d lost his wife and daughter. Then, he lost his job. So, here, he was without a family and a job. Was life really worth it? No. It wasn’t.
Resolute, he started towards the foamy waters when he heard a scream and saw a person flailing about. He dashed into the sea and minutes later, he was pulling a woman to shore. They collapsed onto the sand.
“Thank you,” she gasped. “You saved my life.”
And God saved mine, he realized.

There are times when it does feel like there is some kind of divine intervention at play. Glad it was for him, too.

I ❤️ this happy ending. Too many times people despair when hope (and love) is just around the corner.

Thanks, Dora. Yes, it’s sad but true that many give into despair because they don’t see any way out or have any hope.

Great story. God does still work miracles… but we’re often too too busy to see them.

Thanks 🙂 Yes, He does and you’re right, we often miss seeing these miracles.

Clever 🙂 I was wondering where the “two lives” of the title was going to come in.

Thanks 🙂 That’s the only title that came to my mind.
