God is a righteous Judge. The Bible declares, “Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth” (Psalm 96:10, 13).
God is a just God. He does not indiscriminately pass judgment. Jesus once told the religious leaders who were angry with Him for healing a man on the Sabbath, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (John 7:24).
The Bible declares that God will “judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness” (Psalm 9:8).
God is an impartial Judge. He judges everyone according to his or her work. So, when we stand before God we can expect a fair trial. Like the angel, we can declare, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments” (Revelation 16:7).
Let us not fear but rejoice before our God who is righteous and just in all of His ways.
