Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah (Psalm 3:3, 4, NKJV)
There are times when it seems like God has deserted you. People even tell you that you won’t get any help from Him. You might as well take care of the matter yourself. But you know better. You know your God. He has always had your back. So why should now be any different? You know that when you cry out to Him, He will hear you.
He will carry you through this valley just as He carried you through the others. His protection and glory will cause you to lift your head up even while you are still in the valley. And when your head is lifted up, you open your mouth and praise God. Praise Him even while you are still in that valley.
