No Fear

There is no fear of death nor the grave for the faithful who are alive in Jesus and those who have fallen asleep in Him. For it was He who said, “I was dead, and see, I am alive forever and ever; and I have the keys of Death and of Hades” (Revelation 1:18).

When Jesus died on the Cross, He secured not only our salvation but He took away Satan’s trump card which was death. He had used the fear of it to keep people in bondage. In conquering death, Jesus removed its fear and authority over those who have faith in Him.

“I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction!” (Hosea 13:14)3

Satan, death and the grave will all be destroyed one day (Revelation 20:10, 14).
