I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! – Psalm 27:13-14
When we are anxious or worried about a problem or a situation, we can become discouraged when we feel that God isn’t doing anything about it. God is aware of what we are going through and He wants us to hang in there. That’s not an easy thing to do and that’s why it takes courage to wait on Him to act. Many times, we are tempted to take matters in our own hands or are pressured into acting by those who mean well. It takes faith and courage to wait on God. And while we wait on Him, He will strengthen our hearts. He wants you to believe that He has everything under control.
Don’t lose heart. And don’t worry about how long it’s taking for Him to act, just trust that He will act in His time and in His way. While you wait, reflect on all those times He has come through for you and instead of worrying, worship and praise Him.
