A Favour

“Corinne, I need a favour.”

“What is it?” I asked, eyeing the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel at her heels.

“Could you watch Prince?”

I balked. “I’m sorry, but–”

“I don’t think my date would want him tagging along.”

“Why couldn’t you leave him at your flat?”

“By himself?  Absolutely, not!”

“But, Priscilla—”

“Thanks, Corinne.  Now, you be a good boy, Prince.  Ta-ta.”
