Controlled

“This was a mistake.  I thought I could do it.  Please, let’s go back down.” She was petrified.

“You must be brave and face your fear of flying.  You can’t let it continue to control you.”

Please, I want to go down.”

His expression changed.  “If that’s what you really want.”

“It is.  I’m sorry.”

He didn’t answer.

They got into his car and drove off.

Minutes later, she glanced at him in surprise.  “Aren’t we going to Chez Jules?”

“No.  I’m taking you home.”

“But, why?”

“If there’s one thing I can’t tolerate, it’s cowardice.”

“But—”

“We’re through.”

    1. Dear Rochelle,

Clearly he didn’t love her. Many people have a fear of flying or heights or of something else. They need support, love and understanding. You’re right, she’s better off without him. Thanks 🙂

      Shalom,
      Adele
