It’s Time

Their lives don’t matter.

Their cries fall on deaf ears.

They can’t breathe.

They suffocate.  They die.

Their lives don’t matter.

But that’s not true.

Their lives do matter.

That’s why we protest.

That’s why we march.

Enough is enough.

It’s time for change.

It’s time for action.

It’s time for justice.

It’s time to stand up against racism.

  1. It’s time to do our own inner work, to know our own worth, and to love ourselves so we can love and express love to others. Only when we change ourselves inside does our outer world change.

    1. It’s time to recognize that all human beings are entitled to dignity and respect. We can know our own worth, love ourselves and others but until laws are put in place to protect us from injustice and acts of violence, things will continue as they are or become even worse. Federal laws and policies need to change. Make racism a crime and give the victims their day in court. Put legislature in place for victims or families of victims to sue or charge the perpetrators. It’s time for the government to do something. People are dying as a result of acts of racism. This has to stop!
