Many of us have seen this short but profound message:
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.
I praised God when my mother was baptized years ago. I sought
God when I was going through a rough time both professionally and
personally. Quiet moments, I worship God through prayer or songs. I sit or
lie still so that I could hear Him speak to me. In painful moments, I turn
to God because I know He cares for me. He is the only One I know I can
trust to see me through. I know that He always has my best interest at
heart and that whatever the outcome, it is for the best.
During painful moments, it is hard to let go. It is hard to see the light
beyond the darkness but God never lets us go through the valleys alone. And
just when the burden becomes too much for us, that is when God carries us.
The pain soon passes and the healing begins. God is there to dry the tears
away and to draw us close. He is our Rock–our shelter and our strength.
And that is why we trust Him the next time we go through a valley.
Every opportunity you get, thank God. He is worthy to be praised and
thanked. Give thanks with a grateful heart. “Let us come before him with
thanksgiving. Let us sing him psalms of praise.” (Psalm 95:2)
