She wished she could put up a No trespassing sign on her life and keep out the guys who acted like they cared for her but all they wanted was one thing and when she told them that she wanted to wait until she was married, they quickly lost interest.
Her friends treated her as if she were an oddball because she wasn’t like them. They didn’t see anything wrong with sleeping with their boyfriends even though a few of them got pregnant. She didn’t want to end up like them. It was time to evict them from her life.

Excellent choice. When the friends you have do not share your ideals and standards? Find different friends.

A good story of a woman with some common sense. Well done, Adele. I’ve said it before. Many men are spoiled rotten. What would they do if all the women said “No”? They’d do what many previous men did, wait or have to pay for it. I wouldn’t recommend paying these days. Women have to stop being so desperate. Men just take advantage. I know of one woman who wasted “ten” years of her life on a married man who told her he’d leave his wife. He didn’t. —- Suzanne

Thanks, Suzanne. I’m glad you thought it was a good story. Fortunately, there are terrific men out there and one day, she will meet hers. And my advice to women and men, if the person you’re with turns out to be married, end your relationship, don’t stay in it hoping that the person will leave their spouse for you, even if promises are made. And if you learn about the marriage before you get involved, run in the opposite direction. It’s better to be single and happy than in a relationship and miserable and wasting years of your life for something that isn’t likely to happen.
