“Where are your boots, Timmy?” His mother asked him when she noticed that he wasn’t wearing them.

“I left them outside.”

“Why?” she asked.

“I’m taking them over to Leroy.”

“Why?”

“He doesn’t have boots.  He likes mine so I’m going to give them to him.”

“But those are your favorite boots”

“I know but Leroy’s my best friend and it’s Christmas.”

His mother was deeply touched.  She reached out and ruffled his hair.  “Bring them in, Honey.  We’ll wrap them so that Leroy has another present to open on Christmas Day.”

Timmy beamed.  “Thanks, Mom!”  He raced off.
