Bob and Carol watched as thousands of lanterns floated across the calm sea. While honeymooning, they heard about Hawaii’s annual Memorial Day celebration honoring loved ones who died while serving in the military.
While Bob videotaped the event, Carol lit her lantern and cast it off. It was in memory of her brother, Dave who was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. As she watched the lantern drift away, she was comforted by these words, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” What reunion that would be.

A beautiful story of remembrance of Dave’s life and sacrifice; and the comfort he now enjoys.

Thanks, Brenda. The reunion will take place when Jesus comes again and Dave is resurrected along with other believers who have passed away. That is when Carol will see him again. It will be a glorious reunion for believers and their loved ones.
